They Call Her Wicked

Ostracized for being different, Briar finds solace in the Appalachian Mountains under the care of the forest ward who guards the gate to the Spirit Place. A slow-seeping poison has infected the forest for nearly a decade and the blessings Briar leaves among the trees are no longer working to keep it at bay. The ward sends her on a journey to seek aid, but before she leaves, a mysterious man appears begging Briar to help him find his son who was taken into the mountains by the Yunwi- Tsunsdi. On her quest to find help for the poison and rescue the child, secrets about the ward and her past emerge making her question everything she thought she knew.
